FAQs:

What is CAD?
CAD stands for Computer Aided Design. We use CAD programs to create 3-Dimensional models in a virtual world. These can be 3D models of anything, from a shoebox to a skyscraper. Computer Aided Design is a huge and growing professional industry.

What classes are available to Freshman?
In most cases, freshmen students are encouraged to take Introduction to Computers before elective classes. The word “Introduction” can be misleading though! We cover topics ranging from what makes a com-puter work (what is inside your computer), to building basic, personal webpages and resumes.

Are you adding more computer electives?
We cannot say for certain now, but we are considering adding more computer classes. At the moment, we are considering Graphics Arts and/or a Minecraft Strategy course that is UC A-G approved.
