The Lady Mustang’s basketball season is finally over after 34 total games losing to Eastide Prep in the 2nd round of NORCALS 68-39. St. Vincent made a game of it against the perennial power Eastside, only trailing 14-10 at the end of the 1st quarter. However, a cold shooting 2nd quarter which yielded only 8 points for the Mustangs, allowed Eastside Prep to pull ahead 35-18 by halftime. But there is no quit with St. Vincent, as they scored 21 points in the 2nd half, compared to Eastside Prep’s 33. Leading scorers for the Mustangs were Soph. Olivia DeGraca and Senior Jacalyn Murphy with 11 points each. Seniors Rebecca Dodele and Grace Jennings finished with 6 and 5 points respectively. The St. Vincent community is very proud of what this team accomplished this year finishing with a 27-7 overall record. Parting can be such sweet sorrow for the 9 seniors, but they have left their legacy for years to come.
