Brendan Riley has been accepted as a Journalism Fellow at the ASNE Reynolds High School Journalism Institute for Summer 2011.

Selection to this institute is based on a competitive, nationwide application process.  Mr. Riley was chosen as one of 175 high school journalism teachers in the USA (out of more than 400 applicants) who will be participating in one of a series of 2 week intensive workshops to be held in various locations across the country.

Mr. Riley will be traveling to the University of Texas at Austin from June 19 to July 1 to study and work with 34 other high school journalism instructors. The entire cost, including travel, is generously paid for by the Reynolds Institute.

Brendan Riley is a 1984 graduate of St. Vincent High School.  He serves a department chair for our Wold Languages Department.  He has been the journalism teacher at SVHS since August 2005.
