The Varsity football team beat Emery on Saturday, 27-8, after suffering a league loss to CSD 2 weeks ago. Derek Murphy rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns to lift the Mustangs past Emery. The team is now 2-1 in NCL II league play and 4-2 overall. Murphy scored from four yards out on St. Vincent’s second possession of the game and the team never looked back by taking a 14-0 halftime lead. Linebacker Kyle Dannewitz excelled for the defense with nine tackles and two were for losses. Quarterback Jack Richardson completed 7 of 11 passes for 91 yards and rushed for 55 including a 30 yard touchdown run.
