The softball team played their first league game on Friday and beat Upper Lake 21-0 in five innings. Led by Senior Hayley Olson who pitched the shut out and Junior Mary Cerf who had 6 RBIs, the Mustangs easily cruised to victory. Cerf had a double and triple with her trips to the plate in hammering out those 6 RBIs. Olson also helped her cause by going 2×2 from the plate. The Mustangs are 2-7 overall and will take on another league opponent in Rincon Valley Christian at home on Tuesday. It is time for St. Vincent to “make their move” if they wish to compete for the league championship and NCS playoff berth.
