The Varsity baseball team traveled to College Prep yesterday and lost 4-3 committing 5 errors in the game. Max Cowell was the pitcher of record in the loss. The Mustangs had 5 hits compared with College Prep’s 8. The St. Vincent hits came from Sky Doble (HR, 2RBI), Dominic Pedersen, Max Cowell (2B, RBI), Patrick Garcia, and George Sammon. The Mustangs will need to clean-up their defensive effort for their next game tomorrow at Healdsburg. Their overall record is currently 3-3 with league play slated to begin on Friday vs. Upper Lake.

The Varsity softball team also lost yesterday to Windsor 5-3. There was improvement defensively by the Mustangs in only committing 1 error in the game. Windsor outhit the Mustangs with 10 hits compared to St. Vincent’s 8. Hitting for the Mustangs were Ursyla Baumgarten (RBI), Hannah Sarlatte (3B), Mary Cerf (3B), and Rainey Henry. Hannah Sarlatte was the pitcher of record and took the loss. The Mustangs will travel to Lower Lake tomorrow to try for their second win of the season as the are currently 1-6. They will begin league play on Friday at Calistoga which should prove to be a very well contested game.
