HSPT ENTRANCE EXAM
All applicants for the 9th grade are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). Please arrive for your exam on the date you reserved through your Admissions Application. You will receive a confirmation post card in the mail.
Dates: Saturday, December 4, 2010 (Priority test)
Saturday, January 8, 2011
Time: 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Our doors open at 8:30 a.m. This is a standardize timed test that begins at 9:00 a.m. The test ends at approximately 12:30 p.m. There will also be a short essay. Students should not feel the need to arrive at St. Vincent de Paul before 8:30 a.m. nor do they need to bring anything with them. We will provide all the necessary items needed to take the test. We do take walk-ins.
Remember: The best preparation for the HSPT is to relax, get a good night's sleep and eat breakfast! Please assure your student that this is only one of several factors we consider in the admissions process. It is not an acceptance test but at placement test.
