Leadership – The curriculum is divided into six areas: Communication, Group Process, Managerial Skills, Self Awareness, Human Relations, and participation in and support of Campus Ministry. Class time will include instruction in the six key areas. These learned skills will be demonstrated in the planning, promoting, and running of school events and community service activities. Students will also maintain a web-based calendar of school events. Completion of outside Leadership hours and a signed Leadership Contract are required. Class size is limited to no more than 30 students per school year.
Note – Leadership is a zero period (7:30-8:15 am) elective class. Enrollment is based on faculty recommendation and advisor approval.
Officer Prerequisite: One year previous Leadership class – Advisor approval
Ambassador Program – Freshman and Sophomores take on leadership roles in hosting prospective students and hosting Admissions events. Ambassadors are called upon throughout the year to act in a variety of ways in order to support a welcoming environment for new students. There is an application process and a training for all new members.
Mentor Program – Juniors and Seniors have the opportunity to serve as critical point people for incoming Freshman. Each of our incoming Freshmen connect with their Mentor during Freshman Orientation. Mentors also serve as community hosts throughout the year. There is an application process and a two day training session for all Mentors.
