The Mustang Varsity Baseball team traveled to Sonoma Academy last Friday and came away with another league victory in beating the Coyotes 8-3. St. Vincent led the game 6-0 going into the bottom of the 5th inning when Sonoma Academy responded with 3 runs. The Mustangs then scored another 2 runs in the top of the 6th to ice the game away. Winning pitcher of record was Dominic Pedersen. Leading hitters for the Mustangs included Liam Galten 3×4 (2B, 2 RBI), Max Cowell 2×5 (2 RBI), and George Sammon 2×4 (2B, 3B, RBI). St. Vincent will travel to Rincon Valley Christian tomorrow for an important league game against the Eagles. RVC is currently in 2nd place with a 6-2 record behind the Mustangs who are 7-1. The league season will then wrap up on Thursday with a game at Calistoga. The current overall record for St. Vincent is 14-8 and the team is looking forward to the NCS playoffs which begin next week.
