STEP 6: TAKE THE HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT TEST (HSPT) AND ATTEND THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE MEETING

December and January

All incoming freshman are required to take the Scholastic Testing Service High School Placement Test. SVHS is hosting the HSPT exam Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 9:00 a.m or during our makeup exam on January 13, 2018. Walk-in registration is welcome, or you may test at another location. Doors open at 8:45 a.m. The exam is approximately 3 hours long and includes an essay section. Students should not feel the need to arrive prior to 8:45 a.m.and do not need to bring anything with them (please no backpacks!). All necessary supplies will be provided. Remember – The best preparation for the HSPT is to relax, get a good night’s sleep and eat breakfast! Please assure your student that this is only one of several factors we consider in the admissions process. It is not an acceptance test, but a placement test. Pay for your HSPT (scroll to bottom to choose your purchase package)

For those students with documented learning challenges, extended test taking time is available. Please call (707) 763-1032, ext. 113.
