Dear St. Vincent Families,

I hope you are all having a great summer! We are looking forward to the 2017-18 school year, as we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of St. Vincent de Paul High School. There are many events scheduled to commemorate the centennial and to celebrate the rich history at both schools. We look forward to building a stronger St. Vincent’s community by bringing families, alumni and students together, but we cannot do it without you!

Please join us at St. Vincent de Paul High School on Monday, August 14, at 6:30pm for an informational wine and cheese gathering to hear about the exciting events that are being planned for the year ahead. Here are just a few that are already in motion:
  • Combined Jogathon for both schools
  • Auction
  • Fashion Show
  • Homecoming
  • Alumni Basketball Game
  • Centennial Mass and Reception
  • Golf Tournament

As you know family participation is what makes these events possible, so please plan to attend this exciting gathering.

Please let us know if you can attend by RSVPing here . Thank you again, for your continued support!

Art Department Personnel Update, 8/3/17

Art Department Personnel Update

August 2, 2017

Dear Parents,

I am writing today with an update regarding personnel changes within the high school Arts department.  Laura Schneider, who joined the school community last year as a Jazz Band teacher has moved on to pursue new professional opportunities.  Laura did an exceptional job building and enhancing the music offerings at St. Vincent de Paul High School.  We wish Laura the best in her new pursuits.

While there are changes in the personnel of the Art Department, our school’s commitment for the educational experience for our students has not changed. To that end, St. Vincent de Paul High School’s Leadership Team has contacted a number of resources in the community, including Santa Rosa Symphony, Sonoma State University Band, Napa Valley College, former Music Directors at Petaluma Schools, and Cinnabar Theater.  The Leadership Team have begun interviewing many qualified candidates to offer Jazz Band, as well as a possible collaboration with St. Vincent de Paul Elementary School for the 2017-18 school year.  Rest assured, we are doing everything we can to ensure that the quality of the music program continues.

Thank you, and I look forward to seeing everyone back on campus again soon.

In the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul,

Tom Coughlan
