jackMeet senior Jack Richardson the Scholar-Athlete for the month of October at St. Vincent HS. During this fall athletic season, Jack is being recognized for his commitment and dedication to academics, community , and sport.
Jack came to the Mustangs from Petaluma High School last year as a junior, and is currently the starting quarterback on the Varsity football team.He resides in Petaluma with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Richardson. Jack chose to change schools for the opportunity to take more advanced classes that were not available at Petaluma. He came to St. Vincent with anxious feelings as he only knew one person on campus, but has since expanded his list of friends. In fact, he recently was voted a “senior superlative” of “Best guy to take home to mom and dad”. This speaks well of Jack’s character and integrity.
Entering his second year at St. Vincent, Jack currently has a 3.57 cumulative GPA. He has embraced the school’s motto of “enter to learn, leave to serve”, by putting in 80 hours of community service wtih the United Cerebral Palsy Assn. He has learned many things about himself through the joy and happiness he sees from the kids afflicted with cerebral palsy. Upon reflecting back on his high school career at St. Vincent, Jack says his most rewarding experience was being accepted and welcomed with open arms by the St. Vincent community. Jack hopes to attend either UC Irvine or the University of Colorado at Boulder in the fall. Good luck Jack and the community of St. Vincent de Paul HS is proud of your achievements!
