The 2024-2025 Mustang Athletics year was a historic one for St. Vincent de Paul College Prep. Three of our Athletic programs won Sectional, Regional and/or State Championships, while another program made its first appearance in a Regional playoff ever.
Volleyball: 2024 NCS D6 Runner-Up & 2024 CIF NorCal D6 Champions
Our Volleyball team won its final six regular season games going into the postseason and rode that late-season success throughout the playoffs. They reached the NCS Championship, ultimately falling in a thrilling 5-set match against top-seeded San Francisco Waldorf.
With wins over Vacaville Christian and Redding Christian, Mustang Volleyball set up a rematch with San Francisco Waldorf. This time, the Mustangs prevailed, sweeping the Wolverienes in three sets for the programs first CIF Northern California Championship.
Football: 2024 NCS D5 Champions, CIF NorCal 4-AA Champions, CIF Division 4-AA State Champions
Mustang Football captured its second straight state championship with a 25-23 win over Highland of Palmdale this past Fall. SV became the first Sonoma County high school to capture multiple State Championships and just the second North Bay team to accomplish that feat.
Over the last two seasons, Mustang football has accumilated a 27-3 record with two NCS titles, two NorCal titles and two State titles in that span.
Softball: 2025 NCS D6 Champions
Mustang Softball ran through the NCS playoff bracket en route to their first NCS championship since 2013. The Mustangs did it all on the strength of only nine consistent players throughout the season, a testament to the dedication of the team and its coaching staff, whom are all Mustang alumni.
A run-rule victory over Willits completed the Mustang Athletic year with yet another championship.
Boys Basketball: 2025 NCS D6 Runner Up, 2025 CIF NorCal Appearance (First in program history)
Boys Basketball made history this year by clinching a berth in the CIF NorCal playoffs for the first time in the history of the program. They also appeared in the NCS Championship for just the second time in program history.
Their appearance in the CIF NorCal Playoffs led to their first win in the tournament, defeating Sacramento Waldorf on the road.
