Special Notice Regarding Covid-19 (Coronavirus)

Dear St. Vincent de Paul High School Families,

As directed by Rev. William P. Donahue, Pastor and President, St. Vincent de Paul High School will close its campus beginning Tuesday, March 17th to all students, and all instruction will move online effective immediately on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. The administration will be in contact with students and their families on a weekly basis regarding our ongoing schedule.

Our faculty and staff met with our students on Monday, March 16th to explain the Google classroom platform, and the guidelines for classes during the time off. They were provided an opportunity to retrieve all necessary textbooks, notebooks and other class materials. Please see the link below for the current Digital Learning Protocol.

We are under a “shelter in place” order until  Sunday, May 3, 2020. The decision to reopen will be based on the recommendations of the CDC and Sonoma County Department of Health. We will be in contact with families over the two weeks to provide information and updates about a confirmed return date. While we do not have a current case of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in our school, the decision was informed by our duty to protect the health and safety of all members of our school community, yesterday’s Executive Order by our Governor, the President’s Declaration of a National Emergency, and our larger responsibility to take action to slow the spread of this virus.

We are confident that we can deliver a quality educational experience through the online use of Google classroom.  Most of our teachers use Google classroom as part of their current instruction.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate these challenging times.

God bless you and your family,

Patrick W. Daly
Principal
